Hacienda Carmona, Guatemala
A sweet but clean tasting coffee from Guatemala with notes of caramel, plum, floral tones, and even a dash of sweet passion fruit as it cools. Best enjoyed black.
Hacienda Carmona is nestled within the hills of Antigua which gives it a unique micro-climate, creating a coffee which is more nuanced and clean tasting than is typical for a Guatemalan coffee, with a hint of fruity floral notes, although it still has that typical sweetness which Guatemala is known for. The subtlety and complex flavours are easily drowned out by milk but make for a delicious cup which changes as it cools when drunk black.
The coffee was grown by Maria Zelaya Aguirre, a third generation coffee grower, in the Antiguan hills.
