Grown by the Majinja Farmer Group which is comprised of 20 farmers in the Ibembwe, Msia, Mbozi and Songwe reions of Tanzania, located between 1,600 and 1,700 metres above sea level. The name Majinja is derived from the clan name of the factory owner.
The coffee is fully washed with water from the Tunkaki river, fermented in tanks and dried on raised beds. The parchment is then handpicked on the drying tables to remove defects.
The result is a fruity but clean tasting coffee which particularly suits filter brewing.
